NTDC recently launched the results of a research study on the sustainability of Men’s Sheds in North Tipperary and the supports that are required to keep Sheds viable and sustainable. The study was undertaken by the Technological University of the Shannon for NTDC and the task was “to identify and quantify the administrative /organisational support needs of Men’s Sheds, referring specifically to five Men’s Sheds in North Tipperary”.
The report draws a number of conclusions including a recommendation that administrative/organisational support to Sheds should be increased “to offer each Shed the equivalent of one days support per Shed per week”.
