The five Mens Sheds from North Tipperary held an educational get-together at the EcoVillage Cloughjordan in celebration of International Men’s Day (Nov 19th) .
The day included a tour of the EcoVillage Farm, a visit to the Thomas MacDonagh Museum, a workshop in the Digital Fab Lab, a presentation on how Sheds can avail of the TÚS Programme and a workshop on how the activities of Men’s Sheds link to the Sustainable Development Goals.
In recognition of the dedication and commitment of Shed leaders, the membership of each Shed was asked to nominate one leader from their Sheds to receive a token of appreciation in recognition of their ongoing commitment, dedication, and hard work to keep the Shed up and running.
The recipients of the awards were:
1. Thurles Mens Shed– Tim Quinn
2. Nenagh Mens Shed – Mick White
3. Borrisokane Mens Shed, – Gerry Duggan
4. Silvermines Men’s Shed – Michael Cunneen
5. Moycarkey Borris Littleton Men’s – Michael Dempsey.
