Play Specialist – Part Time
NTDC invites applications for a Play Specialist, The post holder will work to address the needs of children who have been living with domestic abuse. They will work primarily with children under 13years of age. They will work in partnership with mothers in addressing their children’s needs and will work collaboratively with other agencies as and when appropriate. The successful candidate will work with children individually and in small groups as appropriate to their needs.
The successful candidate will have:
· A recognised third level qualification in a related field, and
· At least 3 years’ relevant experience working in a counselling/social care setting with children
· Full driving license and IT skills
· Garda vetting will apply to this post
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Part-time position – working 21 hours per week.
The is initially a fixed term contract until 31st December 2026 and is subject to continued need for the service and funding availability.
SALARY
The salary scale for this role will be from €41k- €60k (pro rata) commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Community Link Worker
North Tipperary Development Company along with partner company South Tipperary Development Company invites applications for A Community Link Worker (Fixed term 18 Month Contract)
The successful candidate must meet the criteria of the job specification including:
- Third Level Qualification in Community Development, Rural Development, Social Science, or other relevant discipline (level 7 or 8).
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the community development sector in a similar role, including community integration work.
- Knowledge of current community development initiatives & community development work
- Knowledge of migrant integration issues.
- Knowledge of theory and practice of the principles of community development work.
- Fluent in English
- Experience of communicating complex and frequently developing information in a succinct, easy to understand form.
- Capable of liaising with a wide variety of stakeholders and conveying detailed information to relevant parties in a timely manner.
- Experience of managing conflict, working with all parties to develop to resolve conflict within diverse communities.
- Full Driving license and access to own car
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Full-time position – working 35 hours per week. Flexibility will be required, some weekends and evenings. The role is a temporary fixed term contract for an 18-month period.
A split Base role between North and South Tipperary Development Companies offices.
The salary for the role is €36,145 – €53,852. The successful applicant will be offered a salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
